Changes at Center for Faith and Culture

Please join me in congratulating Fr. Chris Valka, CSB, who has been named the new local Basilian Superior of Keon House and will assume a key leadership role in guiding the Basilian Fathers in Houston.

Exciting News for Fr. Storey

I wanted to share some exciting news with the UST community. For those of you who haven’t already heard, Father Kevin Storey, CSB has been elected to serve as Superior General for the Congregation of St. Basil.

Link-Lee Mansion Renovation

The Link-Lee Mansion on the University of St. Thomas campus is one of Houston’s most treasured architectural jewels.

April 17 – The University Crest

Since UST’s earliest days, the crest on the university seal has been a powerful symbol of our community. The imagery emblazoned on the shield tells the story of not only where we came from, but also the future toward which we are headed.

As the UST community comes together and focuses on our shared future, it is important that we maintain transparency in our projects and processes. Because of that, and because I am just generally excited about it, I would like to take a moment to share an update with you. The Call Toward Tomorrow planning process is in full swing, and significant progress has been made as we look to the future of this great Catholic university.

Richard L. Ludwick became the 9th president of the University of St. Thomas on July 1, 2017. He previously served as president of the Independent Colleges of Indiana, enrolling more than 100,000 students.
