President’s Letter

Dr. Ludwickimage_presltr_encounterwinter2024

Dear Friends,

We find ourselves at an exciting crossroads of tradition, innovation and record-breaking numbers here at the University of Saint Thomas! We are building on our legacy by creating new pathways, programs and partnerships that pave our ongoing path to greatness. Let us embrace new beginnings as we continue to nurture our beloved community of knowledge, faith and a shared vision toward Greater Things.

Over the past months, the University has implemented innovative ways to engage and attract students who align with our mission and desire to be part of our future. We are growing. We are expanding our partnerships. We are enhancing the student experience. This commitment is aligned with our dedication of fostering a Catholic environment rich in dialogue that mirrors True Presence.

This edition of Encounter Magazine honors Cardinal DiNardo’s 75th birthday and glorious legacy, echoing the essence of our University’s mission to create spaces for encounter and dialogue where ideas intersect. Within these pages, you will find stories of achievement, perseverance, and faith.

I invite you to reflect on the many ways we encounter and embody the presence of the Divine in our daily lives. And as you ponder these encounters, I warmly invite you to share your stories with us, enriching future editions of our magazine with unique experiences.
and perspectives.

Crescamus in Christo,

Richard Ludwick
