Campus Community

Heart&Soul_Encounterwinter2024

On Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023, the University of St. Thomas recognized members of the Major Giving Society, philanthropists who reached a new level in their commitment to the University at the annual Heart & Soul Dinner celebrating extraordinary giving. While the event is typically hosted in some of the city’s most glamorous ballrooms, this year’s Heart & Soul Dinner saw UST’s Guinan Hall transformed into an elegant dining experience. The venue change spotlighted UST’s vibrant campus community, which is grounded in the educational, ethical and spiritual formation of its students. While hearing testimonies from grateful students, generous benefactors were able to see firsthand the significance of campus culture and on-campus housing.

The Major Giving Society

The Major Giving Society recognizes philanthropists who have made major gift level contributions to the University of St. Thomas. Members of this prestigious Society generously support the UST mission to educate leaders of faith and character through gifts that fund scholarships, endowments, capital projects and operations. Thanks to their commitment to the Catholic intellectual tradition, the University continues to expand its ability to instill in our students the Basilian Fathers’ core values: goodness, discipline and knowledge.

The Lillian & Stella Scanlan Society

Previously known as the Heritage Club, the Lillian & Stella Scanlan Society is comprised of individuals and families who have chosen to make a planned gift to the University of St. Thomas through their estate plans, retirement and life insurance beneficiary designations, or by establishing an irrevocable gift.
