The University of St. Thomas was delighted to host its inaugural Appreciation Luncheon recognizing University of St. Thomas scholarship donors. The event, held at Hotel Zaza on April 18 welcomed an intimate group of donors whose giving supports named scholarship funds. Also in attendance were the student recipients of those scholarships. Over lunch, donors and students enjoyed the opportunity to get to know each other.

“I am thrilled that UST could bring together our students and their scholarship supporters at this wonderful luncheon,” said Vice President for University Advancement and Chief Development Officer Dawn Koenning, “Events like these extend the opportunity to share our gratitude with our friends while also building an awareness of the importance of philanthropy among our students.”

“Community is what this event is about,” said President Dr. Richard Ludwick as he addressed the crowd. “We get to engage with one another on a personal level. This is a time when community comes to life. That is why this is a particularly special event for us, and one that we hope will grow into an ongoing tradition for the University.”
