President's Message

Dear Friends,

It has been a month since Hurricane Harvey devastated much of our area, disrupting lives and leaving many in our community still reeling from its impact. I am extremely proud of our UST family for embracing and supporting those affected by Harvey. Our CeltCare initiative has raised nearly $35,000 and is providing much-needed tuition support, books, laptops and other materials to help affected students remain enrolled.

Many members of our faculty and staff are suffering, too, and we are committed to doing all we can to speed their recovery. We established a  new fund to support faculty and staff needs right after the storm. Many of you have asked me how you can help employees in need; thus, we have created a compelling video to promote the fund for employees.

Please take a moment to visit the special giving site and view the video with messages from some of our beloved colleagues. If you are moved to contribute, it is easy to do so. Your gift is tax deductible and will provide direct, tax-free support to affected faculty and staff.
