Space is granted on a first come first served basis. The faster you complete the process the more likely you are to secure a spot. It is generally recommended to submit all materials prior to July 1st.

What is the difference between a Housing Application and a Housing Contract?

The Housing Application: The housing application is the first step of the application process and not a binding contract. Cancelling a housing application will not incur any fee and you can request your security deposit of $300 in full. Submitting a housing application does not guarantee a housing space.

The Housing Contract: After the Office of Residence Life receives the housing application and confirmation of submitted immunization records from the Health and Wellness Office, a Housing Contract package will be sent out to you if there is still housing available. Cancelling a Housing Contract may incur fees (read terms and conditions for more details). Once the Housing Contract is signed and accepted by the Office of Residence Life, a housing space is guaranteed. If housing is full, your signed contract will be used to place you on the waiting list.

What types of housing do you offer?

UST students have four residence hall options. Each housing community strives to meet a student’s spiritual, academic and social needs while providing safe and secure on-campus housing. Guinan Hall, Young Hall, Clare Hall and the Townhome Communities offer students convenient access to classes and campus activities, while fostering engaging relationships between students, staff and faculty.

Learn More about UST Housing Options

Can I choose my roommate?

Students who have identified a roommate may request each other on their housing contact. The Office of Residence Life will approve the request as long as both students have requested each other and space is available.

When will I know who my roommate is?

Roommate pairings take effect after July for all students who have completed the housing contracting process and submitted a roommate questionnaire. Roommate pairings will be sent electronically, and will include the roommate’s contract information.

What is move-in day like?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zroa9EK9HTo

What types of events are offered for residents?

Programs like Wonderful Wednesdays, Pajama Jam and supporting UST Athletics lead to life-long friendships and memories. You’ll find many choices at Celts Market Place, including low fat, low carb and vegetarian meal options.
