Discounts for Students at the University of St. Thomas in Houston

The University of St. Thomas provides great education, practical training, and off-campus college student discounts.

Houston is full of interesting places to see, and the following places are definitely worth the visit since you get student deals.

The Black Labrador Restaurant

• Museum of Fine Arts
  The Museum of Fine Arts Houston is a dynamic cultural complex comprising two gallery buildings, a sculpture garden, visitor’s center, library, movie theater, gift shop, café, two art schools, and two house museums.
  General Admission for UST students is at a discounted rate of $7.50 per ticket. Tickets for each art exhibit are priced differently. Students have the option to purchase a membership for $45 instead of $60, and UST faculty members can purchase a membership for $50.
• Houston Museum of Natural Science
  The Houston Museum of Natural Science offers free admission to UST students to visit the permanent/general exhibits. In addition, UST faculty members are able to pay the corporate discounted rates on exhibits such as:
  • Shark! Exhibit will cost $12
  • Samurai: The Way of the Warrior will cost $15
  • Admission into the Planetarium is $6
  • The Butterfly Center costs $6
  • The Giant Screen costs $8
• AMC and Cinemark Movie Theaters
  Almost all AMC and Cinemark Movie Theaters offer discounted prices for students who show their university or college ID at check out.
• Clothing Stores
  Clothing stores like Ann Taylor and J Crew, offer a percentage off of merchandise when a student ID is shown at the counter.
• Houston Ballet
  Houston Ballet offers rush tickets to college students that are only available 90 minutes prior to the show for $10.
• Black Labrador
  Black Labrador is an English pub and restaurant in Houston that serves a variety of dishes including shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, soups, salads and more. UST students get to take advantage of 15% off entrees. This pub is an entertaining place, and their patio has an outdoor chessboard with oversized pieces. Their hours are also very convenient for busy college students. They’re open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, and brunch starts at 11 a.m. on Sundays.
• Houston Zoo
  The Houston Zoo offers free admission to UST students. If you have friends and family that would like to join you, they offer free admission to the public on the first Tuesday of every month between the months of September through May, from noon until closing.
