If you are staying local the next week, there are plenty of spring break activities in Houston to keep you busy and make the most of your break. Whether you are from Houston or are here for school the city offers plenty of activities, outdoor and indoor, to make the most of your spring break in Houston. Bicycling in Houston – Critical Mass

Outdoor Activities in Houston to Do on Spring Break

Ride Your Bike during Critical Mass. Not to be mistaken for a holy day of obligation, Critical Mass is a casual social bike ride where upwards of hundreds of Houston area bicyclists gather and ride around Houston just as it gets dark. You can also ride in on Bayou City Outdoors’ Graffiti Art & Food Truck Bike Ride. You’ll take an exploratory ride through Houston, marveling at some of the best graffiti art in the city. Afterwards, you can satisfy that post-workout hunger with food truck snackage.

Running 5Ks and 10Ks in Houston

Those Shoes Are Made for Running: A number of 5Ks, 10Ks and half-marathons take place throughout the March and April. Choose from the Bayou City Classic, Run Houston! Minute Maid Park or (on your way to the beach) the Lake Jackson Doggy Dash.

For a more family-friendly stay in Houston, consider heading out to Bayou Greenway Day where you can participate in plenty of outdoor activities celebrating Brays Bayou. Alternative parks include Memorial and Hermann Park, where you can bask in the big greenery of Houston.
